Summer House season 8 episode 10: How to watch for free on Bravo

house season 8

Eleven months after driving his car into Cuddy's house, three of which were spent on the run and the other eight in prison, House goes before the parole board and learns he has only five days left before he is released. This perfectly illustrates the different ways Danielle and Gabby roll. Danielle is just herself; she shows that she can hang out and likes a good time. As soon as Joe shows up at the party, she is on him like mayo on a lobster roll. Gabby is the kind of girl who would have watched Sex and the City and ordered that book The Rules. She needs to see their credit score before she goes out on a third date.

I mean, I would even do that, and I’m gayer than Liza Minnelli’s makeup drawer. When Carl walks in, Sharon gives him a big hug and says, “Do I have to let go? The three episodes of "The House" are in the style of an anthology. Each episode is directed by a different director and a different host of characters. While the characters change, each story revolves around the titular house at different times in chronological order.

Mid-Season Finale Part 1

Ciara tells the girls that she needs to know how West feels about her before she has sex with him. I mean, I don’t really need to know that, but I am nosy, and I want to hear about West’s sex life. With the three-episode structure for the series, there are many roles voiced by notable actors.

Danielle thinks Gabby’s got no game

In the new season, “Summer should be fun, and our favorite housemates seem poised to indulge in the most carefree summer yet. But while some relationships start to take off, others are revealed to be more fractured than anyone could have imagined, according to a description from Bravo. With prison looming, House hatches a number of crazy schemes in an attempt to stay out of jail long enough to be with Wilson during the last months of his life.

Tom Sandoval Says This One Person "Is One of the Coolest MotherF—ers On the Planet"

However, House initially tries to reconnect with Thirteen, he finally sends her off with her girlfriend to live in Greece. House accepts the offer and gets out of prison, eventually reconnecting with a doctor who worked in the infirmary who he's made unemployable, Jessica Adams. With one new team member established, he soon meets a bright but timid resident, Chi Park, and adds her to his growing entourage of no-cost doctors as well. He receives a cold welcome from James Wilson, but after a cathartic punch to the nose, the two men reconnect.

Batman: The Animated Series

However, shortly after Fox's announcement, Robert Sean Leonard, Peter Jacobson, and Omar Epps agreed to new contracts. Jesse Spencer was in negotiations longer, but finally agreed to a new contract. However, Lisa Edelstein announced she would not be returning and instead joined the cast of The Good Wife. Meanwhile, House confronts his insecurities when his hooker/companion decides to leave him. An independent blind man (Michael B. Jordan) is admitted to the hospital after suffering auditory hallucinations, and soon begins coughing up blood. However, his treatment could leave him more disabled than before.

The Crew Has Questions for Barbie Pascual and Kyle Stillie

Not only that, the mothers choose the names Sophie and Sophia. In addition, Rachel announces that she wants to move to Seattle with her new boyfriend Phil and take Sophia with them. Returning characters for this season include House's wife, Dominika Petrova, his favourite prostitute, Emily, and almost all the main/guest characters that left the show. When the hospital's coroner (Jamie Elman) begins slicing his own scalp open, he is admitted but will only accept medical care personally decided on by House.

Eventually, House comes to terms with Wilson's choice and the two start to plan for their last few months together. At that point, Foreman drops a bombshell - because of a disastrous prank, House has to go back to jail for the next six months. Both his ex-wife and ex-girlfriend are furious with him, and he's on the hook for two child support payments and one alimony payment.

Season Finale

The first episode is directed by Emma de Swaef and Marc James Roels. This story revolves around a family that moves into the house in the 19th century. However, when treating a chemistry teacher, Chase and Adams are in the room when the patient suffers a psychotic break. In the melee, Chase is badly stabbed and the life-saving surgery nearly costs him the use of his legs as well. He takes a lengthy leave of absence and, when he returns, has an inappropriate relationship with a patient.

In early 2012, it was confirmed that this season was House's last, and it would have a "swan song" episode (a two hour finale consisting of a retrospective and the series finale). The finale was co-written and directed by series creator David Shore. The last few episodes focused heavily on a Hilson story line. Olivia Wilde, Kal Penn, Anne Dudek, Sela Ward, Amber Tamblyn, and Jennifer Morrison also returned for the finale. Production of Season 8 was somewhat delayed and the season did not begin airing until October 3, 2011. Part of the issue was that without a firm deal to continue the series, NBCUniversal only had Hugh Laurie and Olivia Wilde under contract to appear in any following season.

house season 8

But things turn bad when in a fit of psychosis and violence, the patient stabs Chase, ultimately forcing the team into a race against time as they battle to keep Chase alive in the ER. As the patient is going to be transferred, House realizes his syndrome and informs his wife. As he is on the hearing with Dr. Cofield, he is prepared to send House to prison again, but the wife of the patient arrives and thanks him for his correct treatment. Dr. Cofield sets him free, but House berates him for his cowardice as it was obvious that he would have been arrested, so he let him loose to avoid media attention.

Immigration gives them one more chance, but it means they have to live together for real. To House's surprise, he enjoys spending time with Dominika and when her citizenship is granted, he keeps this knowledge from her so she will stay. House starts the year in prison, serving out a long term for his various misdeeds in Moving On.

Graphics: A History of Design and Activism in California

1990s graphic design

The 90s rave posters were powerful and evocative when it came to breaking the rules of design. The end of the 80s in Chicago brought acid house, a music genre that quickly expanded around the world. The word rave was used to describe the subculture that revolved around the acid house music genre.

Exit Brush & SVG Font (SVG, OTF, TTF)

On the one hand, we had the underground rock and rave culture influences, and on the other hand – the bright and optimistic pop culture style. One was messy and distressed, and the other one looked neat and sugar-sweet. We have created a mood board below of multiple images taken from around the web that we think could give anyone an idea of how the 90s looked graphic-wise.

Flannel, long hair, grunge music, Seattle – the 1992 film “Singles” covered it all. We hope that after reading this post you understand a little more about what the 90s trend really is, where it came from and how it has become such a well-loved trend today. Or, for more trend related content, read up on the Pantone Color Trends for Fall 2020, our Mid Year Trend Review for 2020, or our Marketing Trends Predictions for 2021 on the Elements Blog. It features experimental layouts, exaggerations, distortion, and distorted objects and elements deemed as “ugly” to protest beauty and perfection.

While Seattle was the focus of the grunge music scene, it was further down on the West Coast that would have the greatest impact on graphic design in the 1990s. Always a leader in cool and casual style—thanks to its surf heritage and reputation for laidback living—California was made for the mellow 90s. On the other side of the spectrum, neons, trippy typography, and drug-inspired smiley designs defined the look of clubbing culture in the early years of the 90s. Acid House, Rave, and Electronica music played the high-octane counterpart to grunge’s laidback mood. The first half of the 90s saw an evolution of some of the design styles that had been popular during the previous decade—the bold and brash 1980s. Computer software (hello Photoshop 1.0) also contributed to the experimental attitude of the decade.

Similar to anti-design, this movement took on a similar rebellious approach and rejected preconceived notions of what it meant to create a ‘good design’. In terms of design elements, bold typography, dark backgrounds, abstract patterns and textures as well as neon designs became integral to graphic design at the time. This was done in order to capture the popular underground rave scene and culture.

What was part of Euro Disney’s corporate design?

Today, the focus is on usability, templates, and an attractive visual language for visitors, but during the 1990s, it was all about frivolity and superstructures. There was “brutalism” in the aesthetic, which is neither easy to navigate nor visually appealing but is an honest and raw look. It was during this time that Photoshop 1.0 (exclusively for Macintosh) was created, and thus, graphic design was never the same again. Carson’s brand of “grunge graphic design” is considered one of the turning points in graphic design history, allowing designers the freedom to create impactful designs without the restrictions of grids, legible fonts, or neatly-framed images. We hope you enjoyed our roundup of the top 90s design trends making a comeback in 2020! If you want more where this came from, check out this awesome 90s Design Trends Collection on Envato Elements.

The grunge and anti-design styles of the 90s completely broke the rules of aesthetics. The 1990s graphic design was influenced heavily by the prevailing fashion statements, music genres and bold vibrant colors. It was a period of experimenting with different designs, including graffiti, and throwing out the classic rules. Creative fonts also came into existence, and found widespread use in both electronic and print media. If you're looking to include 90s graphic design in your graphic creations, consider using CorelDRAW. You'd see this type of font in a 90s candy logo design or 90s cartoon logo.

Celestino Piatti: Plakate Posters, DTV, München, 1992

1990s graphic design

The first logos designed by S/P featured the words ‘Euro’ and ‘Disney’, underlined by a green stripe. The term ‘Euro’ was realized in red, using a variation of the ‘Futura Extra Bold’ font. In front of these words, there was either a drawing of Mickey Mouse or a yellow square with the silhouette of its head and ears. In the late eighties, S/P was asked by the Walt Disney Company to create a corporate design for their European project because their work for the Walt Disney World Resort had been highly successful and popular among guests. On April 11, 1992, an article published in the Los Angeles Times stated that “Euro Disney is, well, California”.

To reflect the loved-up atmosphere of the underground raves, party promoters would create eye-catching neon flyers depicting drug-inspired smiley designs and unconventional typography layouts. Fun patterns and vibrant colors were very popular and nowadays the Memphis patterns are the most representative graphics for the 90s on the internet. If you do a simple search of the 90s design trend, you will see a lot of colorful patterns with an emphasis on geometrical and abstract shapes. Lots of 90s rave posters had busy backgrounds and needed a good font to keep the content legible. Origin is a 90s aesthetic font, grotesque and condensed, creating a strong association with 90s graphic design. The pack comes with nine weights, so you'll be covered with such a wide variety.

Post-nostalgia stress syndrome for the 1990s—a curious love/hate relationship with grunge type—is finally kicking in just as the first decade of 2000 is coming to a close. It is time for design pundits to start looking forward, but not before looking back at the past 10 years in order to neatly categorize and define the design aesthetic of the era (assuming this can be labeled an era). Actually, I’m putting my dibs in to be the first to offer some viable categorization. What’s more I hold that fairness is not an issue when staking out one’s pundit-turf.

Here are several pieces of his experimental graphic design – a distressed look that is hardly understandable. Ray Gun was an American alternative rock-and-roll magazine that was first published in 1992 in Santa Monica, California. If you're pressed for time and looking for 90s logo design templates, make sure to check out Envato Elements and GraphicRiver for amazing assets. By the mid-1980s, new digital tools were completing typography's process of dematerialization. When the ITU dissolved in 1986 — amid a much broader neoliberal attack on organized labor — it had been the longest-running union in the United States.

No matter which side of the aesthetic or philosophical divide one was on, this was a critically exciting time to be a graphic designer. Although the computer was the dominant medium, during the early ’90s designers were transitioning from the hand to the pixel, experiencing all the visual quirks and anomalies that came with technological unease. By the end of the decade and the beginning of the 21st century, despite the Y2K-end-of-civilization hoopla, the computer was firmly entrenched in the lives of designers, and not only was there an aesthetic calming down, but a frenetic media migration. Designers were relying on the computer not only for clean, crisp and flaw-free print work, they were turning from the printed page to video, audio and other motion and sound formats.

Explore the 90s design trends that are making a mark on the design world right now. Designers have become more experimental in their use of anti-grid layouts and becoming more playful with using a mix of analog and digital design to make a more dynamic 3D effect. Tearing up paper, scanning and warping prints and textures and pushing these further in Photoshop creates a standout aesthetic that is less traditionally user friendly and more punk.

With tie-dye set to be an influential trend in design for the year ahead, the Cali-cool aesthetic of the 1990s is back in vogue for 2021. Bold, clashing colors, busy interfaces, and off-grid typography “define” Anti-Design. Grunge origins are tied to graffiti art, skateboarding, and punk music. This style appeared in the 80s and it was very representative of what certain music genres were all about and what the style was. Today, some of those fonts, particularly San Serif, are no longer in use, having been phased out on the Microsoft platform.

Many of the poster designs feature smiley faces which was the most iconic symbol for this style. The 90s impressive collection of rave posters and flyers used for music shows featured a distinct style of neon with heavy use of gradients. Punk is another music genre tied to a very specific visual appearance in the 90s, and heavy use of collage and grunge elements and fonts are very characteristic.

In the summer of 1999, everyone was seemingly preoccupied with 3 things; the total eclipse, The Millenium Bug and box office hit The Matrix. With the rise of the internet and the overarching sci-fi themes of the millennium, graphic design and fashion became more futuristic and borderline cyberpunk. This was a time when everyone was looking towards the future, celebrating the turn of the millennium and wanting to reflect excitement by wearing shiny clothes and silver eyeshadow.

As a result, the brand is cancelling a selection of 2021 European departures pausing operations on its ships Seabourn Sojourn, Seabourn Encore and Seabourn Ovation until July 3 and Seabourn Quest until Nov. 7. Cruise lines have repeatedly pushed back their restart dates as they wait for additional guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention regarding the criteria to be used in the next phase of its Framework for Conditional Sailing order. The announcements are only the latest in a constant stream of cancellations throughout the first part of 2021. Effective immediately, the Best Price Guarantee onboard credit option value will be 100% of the price difference (previously 110%). Can I get a refund on my Royal Caribbean cruise?

The restart plan builds upon the ships that have either already resumed sailings, or are scheduled to later this summer. In conjunction with the restart plan announcement, Royal Caribbean also announced a new series of cruise cancellations to make way for the restart. The type of cruise fare deposit on the reservation and timing of the decision to cancel will ultimately dictate how much of a refund you will receive. Whether you are flat out cancelling the reservation or opting to postpone the cruise to a future sail date, there are important rules and policies to be aware of before you call in to change your booking. There is no indication yet why these specific ships have had their sailings cancelled.

Royal Caribbean Blog is your ultimate source for Royal Caribbean coverage.

The original plan was for Serenade of the Seas to go through the Suez Canal in May. This isn't the first Royal Caribbean cruise to have changes made to avoid the Middle East. A rise of attacks since October 2023 on commercial ships in the southern Red Sea and Gulf of Aden by the Houthis has greatly impacted tourism in the area. Royal Caribbean has been forced to cancel a cruise due to the conflict in the region of the Red Sea. Instead, by cancelling the voyage altogether, Anthem of the Seas can move directly from Southampton down the western coast of Africa, ultimately a more fuel efficient and faster way to move the ship from Southampton to Dubai. Holland America and Princess noted that they were working with the United States and Canadian governments in hopes of salvaging some part of the 2021 cruise season for Alaska and Canada.

Just make sure to review the terms and conditions of the credit and follow the necessary steps to make the transfer. It’s important to note that Royal Caribbean has specific cancellation policies, and it’s always best to familiarize yourself with these policies before making any changes to your reservation. This will allow you to make informed decisions and avoid any potential penalties or fees. Guests booked on upcoming sailings of Anthem of the Seas may be rightfully concerned whether or not their future cruise could also be shortened, cancelled, or rerouted, but such additional changes – while certainly possible – are unlikely. To stay updated on the latest changes and policies, it is recommended to visit Royal Caribbean’s official website () and refer to their Flexible Cancellation Policy page. This page provides detailed information on the policy, including eligibility criteria, cancellation fees, and how to make changes to your reservation.

In this guide, we will explore the key points of Royal Caribbean’s policy, ensuring that you have all the information you need to navigate any unexpected changes to your cruise itinerary. Refund policies vary based on your specific cruise, but you’ll most likely receive a 100% future cruise credit or a full refund. All bookings made by September 30, 2021, for departures through March 31, 2022, can be canceled at least 14 days before departure for a 100% future cruise credit.

When either you or the cruise line cancel a cruise, any additional travel plans made through a third party must be cancelled independently. Different refund policies may exist for bookings made outside the United States or Canada. Outside the parameters of the Cruise with Confidence program, cancellation fees are charged according to the number of days before sailing at the time of cancellation. On cruises of five nights or longer, you lose 25 percent of the fare between 89 and 75 days before sailing.

Certain restrictions may apply, depending on the specific cruise package, duration, and destination. "We are carefully reviewing the recently released guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and working toward resuming operations," Disney said in an announcement. "As we continue to refine our protocols for our eventual return to service, we are canceling all Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy and Disney Wonder sailings departing through June 2021." Celebrity Cruises and Silversea Cruises itineraries through May 31 are canceled. Azamara, which Royal Caribbean Group is in the process of selling, has canceled voyages through June 30.

Although our practice is to issue a future cruise credit automatically, you may instead contact us to request a refund. Refund requests must be made within six (6) months of the date the cruise was cancelled or the scheduled embarkation date, whichever is earlier. Always remember to act promptly and communicate openly with Royal Caribbean’s customer service or your travel agent. They will have the most up-to-date information regarding any available options and can guide you through the cancellation process. While canceling a non-refundable booking may not always result in a full or partial refund, it’s worth exploring potential options and alternatives to make the most of your payment. Royal Caribbean understands that circumstances can change, and they may be willing to work with you to find a satisfactory solution.

Life is unpredictable, and sometimes unforeseen circumstances arise, making it impossible or impractical to go on the planned Royal Caribbean cruise. In such cases, Royal Caribbean may offer flexibility and options for canceling or rescheduling your booking. It’s important to note that cancellation fees may apply, especially if you cancel close to the sailing date.

Alas, Norwegian Prima only is based in Galveston seasonally for the winter, from December to March. It offers seven-night sailings to the Western Caribbean with calls in Roatan, Honduras; Costa Maya and Cozumel, Mexico; and Harvest Caye, Belize. Like all Disney ships, Disney Magic boasts many cabins with split bathrooms — a boon for families. That's not something you'll find on any of the other Galveston-based cruise vessels. It dates to 1998 and is the oldest cruise ship regularly sailing out of Galveston.

Designed specifically to appeal to families, the world's fifth-largest cruise vessel is chock-full of more family-friendly activity zones than just about any other cruise ship at sea. The project included adding two new gangways, a new ramp, two elevators, one escalator, new roofing, improvements of facilities (including Customs & Border Protection). In 2017 were handled a total of 258 ship calls and ~1,9 million passengers. In 2017, the port reported a record monthly cruise shipping volume (113,488 embarking passengers) on a total of 33 departures in December. In January 2014, the port signed a 5-year agreement with Royal Caribbean, generating USD 1,86+ million in annual revenues.

The port also has facilities to handle cargo ships (bulk freighters and container carriers) and dry dock facilities for marine vessel refurbishments and repairs. The port can handle all types of cargo - containers, dry bulk, liquid bulk, breakbulk, RO-RO (roll-on/roll-off) vessels. There is a terminal switching railroad to facilitate larger cargo movements by rail. Major contributors to the Port's current successful cruise business are Carnival Corporation and RCG-Royal Caribbean Group. Both are currently ranked the world's largest passenger shipping companies and both homeport here large-capacity liners for year-round roundtrip departures. Today, Port Galveston is one of the most successful Caribbean USA homeports.

On December 5, 2018, the port authority company (Board of Trustees of the Galveston Wharves) signed with RCG-Royal Caribbean Group an MoU agreement for the development and concession of a new (Royal Caribbean-exclusive) terminal. On November 30, 2016, the port completed a USD 13 million project that expanded the passenger area at "Cruise Terminal 2". Terminal's both buildings are now connected by an enclosed, air-conditioned walkway. The passenger area was increased from around 90,000 to 150,000 ft2 (8360 to m2). Seating was increased from 500 to 2000 seats, baggage holding-, customs- and waiting areas were expanded, and 16 more check-in booths were installed.

It's hard to go wrong with a sailing on Royal Caribbean's giant Allure of the Seas.

In August 2017 (25-27), the port was closed due to Hurricane Harvey's significant rains during the weekend. This affected the schedules of 4 liners (Carnival Breeze, Carnival Freedom, Carnival Valor, Liberty of the Seas). The port was shut down to all shipping traffic (cargo and passenger). Freedom and Valor were relocated to New Orleans, Breeze remained docked overnight in Cozumel, Liberty OTS was diverted to Miami.

Most Carnival Breeze sailings out of Galveston stop at Cozumel, with some adding a stop at Costa Maya, as well. Interior venues on Carnival Breeze include a comedy club, piano bar, casino and showroom for big production shows. The dining options are similar to what you'll find on many Carnival ships, including an extra-charge steakhouse and Italian eatery, Cucina Del Capitano, as well as no-extra-charge main restaurants. It also has a sushi restaurant and a version of Carnival's Caribbean-inspired watering hole, RedFrog Pub. Carnival Breeze also offers a water park with waterslides on its top decks, a miniature golf course, a sports court for basketball and volleyball, and multiple pools. Carnival Cruise Line's Carnival Breeze is the Galveston-based ship to pick when you're looking for a quick and affordable getaway — something that isn't a big commitment and won't break the bank.

How Katie Holmes and Suri Cruise's relationship with Tom Cruise will change once she turns 18 HELLO!

suri cruise siblings

The proud mom shared an adorable black-and-white throwback photo of herself kissing her little girl on the cheek to celebrate Mother's Day in 2021. In November 2020, Holmes wrote a piece for Vogue Australia's November issue about how the silver lining of the COVID-19 pandemic was spending more quality time with her daughter. "She'll pick an activity and work her butt off until she's really good at it. Then she's like, 'Okay, I'm going to try the next thing,' " the actress said. The actress shared that she was "happy" to welcome Suri at age 27, telling Elle UK in November 2019 that their ages are "a good match."

Katie Holmes Admits Daughter Suri, 16, Has Seen ‘Dawson’s Creek’: ‘It’s ‘Weird’

Her Dawson’s Creek star mom began dating the action movie heavy hitter in April of 2005. They were engaged just seven weeks after meeting, and Katie who was raised Catholic, began studying Scientology, the church Tom famously belonged to. They “officialized” their marriage in Los Angeles, and tied the knot at Odescalchi Castle in Bracciano, Italy on November 18, 2006.

On nurturing Suri's "strong personality"

At the time, a source said, "He's disconnected from [ex-wife] Katie [Holmes], and then de facto from Suri, because of her connection to Katie. He hasn't seen her since she was 7." One factor that likely complicates the relationship between Tom Cruise and daughter Suri is that they don't live in the same state — or even the same country. While Suri lives in New York City with her mom, Katie Holmes, Cruise has reportedly been living in London, England, since April 2021 (per In Touch Weekly). As in the past, some believe that Cruise's religion is the reason why he keeps missing out on his daughter's life. The same source told In Touch as much, noting, "He's disconnected from Katie, and then de facto from Suri, because of her connection to Katie. He hasn't seen her since she was 7." From all appearances, Tom Cruise and daughter Suri had a solid parent-child relationship up until 2012.

On celebrating Suri's 14th birthday

We’ve got all the details on Tom Cruise’s relationships with his son Connor and daughters Isabella and Suri. Suri Cruise has no current relationship with her famous father, Tom Cruise, according to a new report. "We had a good laugh about it. It's wild to have a daughter who's almost the same age as I was when I began all this," she told the outlet. In April 2023, Holmes told Glamour that she likes to "protect" Suri from the public eye "because she was so visible at a young age." "I didn't know how much love I had in me. It's overwhelming," she told designer and friend Zac Posen in an August 2014 cover story for Glamour. "Every day I discover more about this spectacular human being I get to be the mother of."

"She's just so kind and has such a pure heart; she really leads with those two qualities, so I try to do the same," Holmes previously told PEOPLE of her mom. "To be honest? I'm not going to play tag, probably. That's not top of my list. But I'll paint all day, I'll do the creative stuff." "Motherhood means everything to me," Holmes said in a PEOPLE cover story in November 2014. In 2004, a then-engaged Katie Holmes admitted to Seventeen that she had once fantasized about marrying Tom Cruise (per HuffPost). Fast-forward a few years, and Holmes found herself walking away from the very marriage she once said she wanted. From all accounts, and especially from Cruise's, Suri's arrival into the world was fairly extraordinary.

To prevent Cruise from becoming that "spoiled rich girl," Katie Holmes insisted on giving her daughter a normal upbringing. Through that, Holmes understood her role as a parent, stating, "I do a lot to put perspective on life" (via Today). According to Holmes, she and Suri spend a lot of time giving back to those in need. As Page Six pointed out, she was once “the most famous baby in America” because of the very high-profile way that Cruise conducted his courtship of the “Dawson’s Creek” star, who was 16 years younger that Cruise when they began dating. When news came that Cruise and Holmes had become parents to a baby daughter in April 2006, a global frenzy erupted, with media outlets competing to be the first to publish the little girl’s photos. For one thing, if she gave an interview or published a tell-all about him, she’d probably have to give up the mostly private life she’s been able to enjoy thus far.

Horoscopes April 21, 2024: Rob Riggle, trust your judgment

In March 2023, the outlet reported that 16-year-old Suri — who reportedly has her heart set on studying fashion — has been scouting around with her mom to find the perfect school. The outlet cited Tom and Katie Holmes' hefty divorce settlement, which included language about Suri's college expenses. "Tom has always maintained his responsibilities when it comes to financial obligations to Katie and Suri," shared a source. Due to Tom Cruise's protective nature, Suri's life at that point was filled with nothing but luxury and privilege. The transition for the 6-year-old princess wasn't easy since she wasn't used to the concept of "sharing her toys with her cousins." However, that slowly faded as the family member stated that her lively personality won them all over. "They'd only ever seen Suri in magazines and in family photos," they told Radar Online, "So they felt extra special to meet a celebrity their own age."

"Hobbies such as sewing, painting and writing became new hallmarks of satisfaction and having had time at home to just be. To listen," she wrote. "To live for a moment in time without the pressure of results and instead appreciate the natural rhythms of mother and daughter was the most precious gift." The mother-daughter duo have some fitness routines of their own, Holmes told Shape in December 2019.

In 2013, Tom Cruise admitted he hadn't seen Suri Cruise for 100 days

"Every day, kids get a little further away from you. That's a positive thing. They should be becoming more independent, but it's heartbreaking," Holmes said in her interview with Town & Country. "You want them to stay with you forever, but they're these amazing beings, and you have to do everything you can to give them what they need — and then they're going to go. And that's going to be very, very sad for me." Holmes gushed about her ultra-supportive mother, Kathleen, "who is always willing to fly to me if I need her, and even when I don't," she previously told PEOPLE. "My main goal is to just let her know how much I love her," the actress told PEOPLE in 2014. Learn more about Tom Cruise's relationship with his daughter, Suri, with this comprehensive timeline.

From her silent birth in 2006 to her inevitable growth into a teenager, the life of Suri Cruise has been both known — and unknown — to the general public. Despite the attention, Suri Cruise may attract due to her notable parents, her life at home isn't entirely lawless. In hopes of granting her daughter some sense of "normalcy" in her life, Holmes tries to instill the values her family taught her into her now 16-year-old daughter (via People). Suri Cruise has always been known to be very close to her mother, Katie Holmes.

Take a look at the comprehensive timeline below to learn more about the current status of Tom and Suri’s father-daughter relationship. These parties are known for being lavish and extravagant affairs, featuring custom decorations and themes tailored to Suri's interests. One such party was a princess-themed celebration for Suri's fifth birthday, complete with a castle-shaped cake and a horse-drawn carriage ride. These events are a testament to the close bond between mother and daughter, and they provide Suri with unforgettable memories to cherish for years to come.

The friend explained, "Tom never intended to be estranged from his daughter when he decided to have a family with Katie and looks forward to repairing the relationship one day." Through that, we may see Holmes use unpopular methods of achieving that, like allowing Suri to wear lipstick at such a young age. Although it doesn't directly harm a child's well-being — depending on how you view it — dowsing your 5-year-old daughter's face in makeup is something that most mothers would disapprove of immediately. Luckily for Suri, Holmes is far from a "regular mom." For those still confused about why this was the case, her interview with Elle magazine in 2011 gave us insight into why this was allowed in the Holmes household. “We don’t know for sure if Katie was ever declared an SP,” Ortega told Page Six. A regular church member, whose wife and daughter left Scientology, would be encouraged to disconnect from them, but Cruise might have been spared that option because of his “top celebrity” status.

Everything to know about buying cruise travel insurance

disney cruise insurance

Disney’s insurance plan will not cover air if you do not purchase the air through Disney. It depends on the coverage, but usually air is wrapped up in the cost of your trip and is covered. You can buy cruise insurance from your cruise line, through a travel agent or from a travel insurance agent or company. Any seasoned traveler will tell you the peace of mind alone is reason enough to purchase travel insurance, but a Disney World trip in particular is a strong candidate for carrying a policy. Disney’s Travel Protection Plan includes $25,000 of coverage should you become ill or get injured during your Disney travel. If you need emergency medical transportation, up to $100,000 is covered.

Travel delay insurance can help pay for lodging, meals and other necessities you buy when you experience a layover. It pays out up to the travel delay limits listed in the policy, and after a specified waiting period, such as six hours. Please visit InsureMyTrip.ca to start a quote and find the right coverage for your unique travel plans. Your out-of-network benefits may be very different when you’re traveling away from your home network. Flat-rate travel insurance can be good for ultra-expensive trips, but a bad deal for budget trips.

What does cruise travel insurance cover typically?

Understanding the scope of coverage, exclusions, and limitations ensures that travelers can make informed decisions that align with their individual needs and circumstances. Allianz and Travel Guard are two of the big companies that offer annual travel insurance. It’s not cheap, but it’s a whole lot less than buying insurance even two or three times a year.

Disney Travel Insurance Explained

In some cases, purchasing Disney insurance makes a lot of sense. Here’s everything you’ll get when you purchase the official Travel Protection Plan for your Disney World vacation. "Domestic transports, which we cover as well, can cost upwards of $30,000," Hallman said. "For people traveling internationally, it's crucial to know beforehand where to go for any treatment … and how they're going to pay for that treatment," Page said.

If you experience a serious medical problem on a vessel, you may have to get off the ship in a foreign port to seek treatment at a hospital. In such a case, if you don't have medical evacuation insurance, you may then find yourself stranded in that port awaiting a medical evacuation. If a winter storm causes you to miss your flight to where the ship is boarding, "travel insurance could help you get to the next port to join the cruise, so you don't miss your entire trip," Page said. "This is when private insurance coverage becomes so very important."

Flight cancellations and delays have been so bad in recent years that the federal government launched a formal investigation into the problem. And industry experts say the problem may worsen over the next decade before we see improvements. Hurricanes can lead to delayed and canceled flights that can stop your Disney World vacation before it even starts. Families can often spend a week at an all-inclusive resort or travel to Europe for the same cost — or for less than the cost — of a Disney vacation. Coverage for Disneyland trips is slightly more affordable at $85 per adult. Coverage for vacations to Aulani, Disney’s Hawaiian resort, costs $99 per adult.

Tammy has been a lover of all things Disney for most of her life. There’s nowhere on this Earth she’d rather be than on a Disney cruise with her family. She’s a Space Force wife and proud mom of two wonderful children and one beautiful daughter-in-law . She fulfilled a lifelong dream in 2008 and became a travel agent specializing in Disney vacations. She now owns her own travel agency - Storybook Destinations.

But if you have Disney Cruise insurance, they will provide you with coverage, but you’ll have to contact them or your agent for more details. Ideally, you want to go for the Disney Vacations Protection Plan, which gives you coverage for specific situations during your travel. While it’s not the best out there, the peace of mind it can provide can’t be underestimated.

The typical cruise insurance policy covers a wide range of circumstances that can go wrong in conjunction with a vacation at sea — both before and during the sailing. In all of these situations, you might benefit from having cruise travel insurance — keyword "might." Underwritten by Arch Insurance Company, it’s available for purchase by U.S. residents and U.S. citizens living abroad who book through Disney’s website. Baggage loss coverage is intended to cover up to $3,000 if your bag or personal belongings are lost or damaged during the cruise.

In conclusion, Disney Cruise Line insurance serves as a safeguard against the unexpected, allowing guests to focus on the magic of their cruise vacation. With comprehensive coverage, dedicated support, and a commitment to guest satisfaction, this insurance ensures that your journey with Disney Cruise Line remains a fairy tale from start to finish. Disney Cruise Line insurance comes with 24/7 assistance and support, recognizing that emergencies can happen at any time. No one wants to imagine their vacation without their belongings.

Walt Disney World trips are indeed magical and memorable, but this bucket list trip isn’t cheap. A Disney World getaway for a family of four costs $6,865 in 2024, according to the Mouse Hacking website. That includes flights, a stay at Pop Century, park tickets and meals at Disney. But what happens if something goes wrong with your ship, or you can’t make it onboard because of health concerns? It protects your payment and covers you against illness or injury. For those planning to take a Disney Cruise, cruise insurance is a specialized type of comprehensive plan specific to the unique multi-leg nature of traveling by cruise ship.

The tandem approach — buying both travel insurance and a separate medevac transport membership — is a good option, Hallman said. While certain Medicare Supplement Plans do have some foreign emergency medical benefits, not all do. Be sure to talk to your Medical Supplemental Plan provider to see if you're covered, what's covered, what the limits are and how the bill is paid. All reputable insurance companies will offer a "free-look period" during which you can receive a 100% refund on your premium. This allows you to review the policy you've selected and return it for any reason within the period allotted — usually for a small administration fee of less than $10.

Embarking on a Disney Cruise is a magical experience filled with enchanting destinations, delightful entertainment, and memorable moments. To ensure that your journey remains as enchanting as the animated tales that inspire Disney Cruise Line, it’s essential to consider travel insurance. Disney Cruise Line offers its guests the option to safeguard their vacation with insurance coverage tailored to the unique aspects of cruising. Disney Cruise Line’s Travel insurance is Underwritten by Arch Insurance Company. Flat-rate travel insurance, as Disney offers, is pretty rare. Most policies are priced based on factors including the length of your trip, your destination and the age of the policyholder.
